My Hopes For 2025

I am definitely having some jitters about leaving my job. I am so excited for the freedom, but a part of me is really going to miss my apartment and New York. Living here has been such a dream. This is the first apartment I have truly loved and felt like home in. I love the beat and pulse of New York City (what a cliche, right?). But I am so heartbroken at having to leave my apartment. I even thought about renegotiating my contract with my current job and went through the entire process of creating a plan to possibly stay in my current position. But a part of me knows that is not the right step. Sure, I'll get to stay in my apartment and continue my life here, but there is no growth in that. I have to accept the fact that I am stagnant in this job and there will be no opportunities to grow as both a professional and a person. This job is suffocating me and I am unable to live my life because of it. Hell, I haven't even gone on a date in over 5 years. I don't even look pre...

Thanksgiving 2019

As you can see in the pictures below, Thanksgiving 2019 turned out to be a big success.
We don't have a huge family but the 4 of us had a really fun time, and everyone pitched in towards the meal in a really fun and different family bonding experience.

Our lovely table.
My mom and I spent the majority of October into November shopping for all the right pieces to make our table the most beautiful one we've had so far throughout the years. We got all new, matching crockery and tableware pieces. And the light table decor was perfect.

The meal!
My dad made the chicken (we don't do turkey). My mom set up the table, ordered the stuffing, and helped to cook. My brother poured the cider and served the pie (not pictured). I made the mashed potatoes and macaroni from scratch. Yum Yum Yum.

This was the first Thanksgiving where we also did some after-meal activities!
We always have a lunch, not a dinner, since my parents aren't fans of heavy dinners. We ate around 1-1:30pm this year.
After the meal, we rested for a bit and then played a fun game of Apples to Apples.
My brother and I then (FINALLY) carved the pumpkin we bought at the pumpkin patch back in September.

Overall a very fun day, so blessed to spend with my amazing family <3
